Filipinos are known for being resilient. After calamities hit the Philippines, they still manage to smile. It is very rare to see someone smiling in the middle of the flood to wave to the camera, how hard life is but still smile. I saw how fast they recover on situations like those. It's been a good thing for the resiliency of Filipinos but I am afraid that they will just pass what happened and stay at it is. According to Shakira Sison, "The problem with our resilience is the speed by which we transform trauma into acceptance. Instead of solving problems, we simply cope or wait for the problem to pass." We are showing that we can't do anything about it. Is it really true? Why not making a goal to overcome it? Be strong enough to gamble in order to make things to the right path.
